Editorial Policy
Healthier Friend is published by AUDAXIA LLC. Our purpose is to make health information easier to understand and help readers prepare useful questions for their healthcare team. The standards below guide our editorial work.
Who is responsible for our content
The byline “Healthier Friend Editorial Team” identifies the publication’s editorial responsibility. It does not represent a medical credential or imply that a clinician wrote or reviewed the article. Invented people, credentials, portraits, testimonials, or review claims must never be used to suggest authority.
Sources and evidence
Our standard is to support substantive health statements with identifiable sources, prioritizing public health agencies, professional guidelines, peer-reviewed research, and recognized medical institutions. Other health publications can help identify questions worth exploring, but their articles do not replace checking the underlying evidence.
Articles should explain relevant limitations, distinguish association from causation, and separate established findings from emerging research. We do not present a single study, a personal experience, or a product claim as proof of a guaranteed result. Sources should be linked in context or listed with the article so readers can examine them.
Medical review
An article is described as “Medically reviewed” only when an identified, appropriately qualified professional has reviewed the complete version, including all pages. The review label names that person, gives their credential and review date, and links to their professional profile.
If no medical-review label appears, do not assume that medical review has occurred. Editorial checking is a separate process. Changes to the article require a new review before the medical-review label can describe the revised version.
Clear and responsible language
We aim to explain possibilities, practical questions, and the limits of the evidence without diagnosing the reader or promising a cure, reversal, or a guaranteed treatment result. Headlines and illustrations must reflect what the article can support. Educational content should support a conversation with a healthcare professional, not encourage readers to abandon prescribed care.
AI tools and illustrations
AI tools may assist with drafting, organization, or illustration. Their output is not a source of medical evidence or a medical review. Our standard requires human editorial checking of facts, sources, and wording before publication. The editorial team remains responsible for what it publishes.
The Healthier Friend mascot and conceptual illustrations are visual elements. They are not clinicians, patients, testimonials, or evidence of a health outcome. An illustration must not be presented as a photograph of a real expert or as a documented treatment result.
Commercial relationships
Advertisements, sponsorships, and affiliate relationships must be disclosed clearly. Commercial compensation does not remove the requirement to support factual statements or justify misleading recommendations. The presence of an advertisement is not a medical endorsement.
Updates and corrections
An “Updated” date records an article change; a medical-review date records a separate review. Our standard is to correct material factual errors and explain consequential corrections where readers can find them. Content that cannot yet be supported should be withheld while it is reviewed.
To report a potential error, email [email protected] with the URL, the relevant passage, and any supporting source. Please do not include private medical information. Our editorial inbox does not provide personal medical advice.
